HOPE

 

I started drinking my coffee, 

It was tasteless and bitter as always. 

I looked in the mirror, all I saw was an empty heart. 

I tried to smile but all I felt were tears. 

I tried laughing, but what I heard was hollow. 

I tried living, but all I felt was death. 

Then I came across your face and I felt alive for the first time. 

Everything I held inside suddenly melted and love was born.

I may have hurt you in unknown ways, but the way you laugh there's nothing hollow about it, the way you smile no one could ever know sadness, the way you live your life everyone would know to live like there's no tomorrow yet to love like there's a forever.
